Project 13-Project for Sampler Guild gift exchange

I decided to go ahead and post photos of the ornament for the gift exchange.  The theme this year is Santa Claus. 

The pattern was from Homespun Elegance. I stitched it on perforated paper and used DMC,  Weeks Dye works, and Sampler threads.

Since I didn't have the original kit which had star charms and a strip of leather, I used bells and found the leather at a local Michael's.

This is a closer look at the face.

I back the stitching with Warm n' Natural and attached it with the backstitching, then glued craft paper to the back.
